Role Summary
The Store Stocker plays a vital role in keeping our Cash & Carry retail floor and warehouse organized, well-stocked, and running smoothly. This position ensures merchandise is properly displayed, customer orders are accurately picked and staged, and all storage areas remain safe, clean, and efficient. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires strong teamwork, physical stamina, and safe equipment handling.
Key Responsibilities
Stocking & Merchandising
- Restock shelves, displays, and endcaps with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Rotate products and maintain correct pricing, labels, and signage.
- Pull inventory from the warehouse as needed to keep the retail floor fully stocked.
- Maintain clean, organized stock areas and ensure aisles remain safe for customers and staff.
Order Picking & Fulfillment
- Accurately pick customer Will-Call orders based on picking tickets and product codes.
- Use handheld scanners or mobile devices to confirm product accuracy and update inventory movement.
- Stage completed orders in the designated pickup area, ensuring all items are secure, labeled, and ready for prompt customer pickup.
- Assist with loading delivery trucks or freight carriers when needed.
Customer Support
- Greet customers arriving for pickups and retrieve their prepared orders quickly and professionally.
- Safely help customers load heavy or bulky items into their vehicles.
- Communicate courteously with both customers and team members to maintain a positive store experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift Experience (Required): Must have prior forklift operation experience; certification preferred.
- Detail Accuracy: Ability to read order tickets, verify product codes, count inventory, and identify discrepancies.
- Warehouse/Retail Experience: 1–2 years in stocking, picking, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Technical Comfort: Ability to learn and use RF scanners, handheld devices, and inventory software.
- Physical Capability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and remain on feet throughout the shift.
- Teamwork: Positive, dependable, and willing to help across departments as needed.
- English Literacy: Must be able to read labels, signage, safety instructions, and order documentation.
