Shift: First Shift — Monday through Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Role Summary
The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in supporting daily warehouse operations, Cash & Carry retail stocking, and customer order fulfillment. This position is responsible for accurately stocking merchandise, picking customer and delivery orders, staging pickups, maintaining organized inventory areas, and ensuring outgoing orders are prepared efficiently and correctly.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, physically active, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and retail environment that requires teamwork, accuracy, and safe equipment handling.
Key Responsibilities
Stocking & Merchandising
- Restock shelves, displays, and endcaps with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Rotate products and maintain correct pricing, labels, and signage.
- Pull inventory from warehouse storage to replenish the Cash & Carry floor as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized stock areas and safe aisles for customers and staff.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and putting away incoming inventory shipments.
Order Picking & Fulfillment
- Accurately pick customer pickup orders, delivery orders, and transfer orders using picking tickets and product codes.
- Verify quantities, item numbers, and product accuracy before staging orders.
- Stage completed orders in designated pickup or shipping areas in an organized and secure manner.
- Assist with preparing and loading outbound delivery trucks.
- Support ecommerce, will-call, distribution, and retail order fulfillment as needed.
- Use handheld scanners, mobile devices, or inventory systems to confirm inventory movement and order completion.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damages, shortages, or picking errors promptly to management.
Warehouse Operations
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
- Keep warehouse racks, pallet storage, and workstations clean and organized.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and warehouse organization projects.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and operational guidelines.
- Support general warehouse projects and operational needs as assigned.
Customer Support
- Greet customers arriving for pickups and retrieve prepared orders quickly and professionally.
- Assist customers with loading heavy or bulky items safely into vehicles.
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers and team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift Experience: Prior forklift operation experience preferred.
- Order Picking Accuracy: Ability to read picking tickets, verify item numbers, count inventory accurately, and identify discrepancies.
- Warehouse/Retail Experience: 1–2 years of warehouse, stocking, fulfillment, or distribution experience preferred.
- Technical Comfort: Ability to learn and use RF scanners, handheld devices, and inventory software.
- Physical Capability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and remain active throughout the shift.
- Teamwork: Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and willingness to assist across departments.
- English Literacy: Ability to read labels, order documentation, product descriptions, and safety instructions.
