For more than 40 years, Superior Equipment & Supply Co. has supplied restaurants, schools, hospitals, stadiums, healthcare facilities, and commercial kitchens throughout Wisconsin.

As our online business continues to grow, we are seeking an organized, technology-driven, and results-oriented eCommerce & SEO Specialist to manage and optimize our Shopify Plus store and product database.

This is not a customer service role and it is not a social media marketing position.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with Shopify, product data, website organization, search engine optimization, content management, and online merchandising. The ideal candidate understands how customers shop online and knows how to organize products, improve search visibility, and create a better online buying experience.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Shopify Plus Administration

  • Manage and maintain our Shopify Plus eCommerce store.
  • Add, edit, update, and remove products.
  • Create and maintain collections, categories, and product groupings.
  • Build and update Shopify pages and landing pages.
  • Maintain homepage content, featured products, and promotional displays.
  • Ensure products are properly organized and easy for customers to find.

Product Information & Database Management

  • Create and maintain item records within CounterPoint.
  • Update product descriptions, specifications, dimensions, and attributes.
  • Review product information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Remove duplicate, obsolete, and discontinued products.
  • Ensure consistency between Shopify and internal systems.
  • Assist with large product uploads and catalog maintenance projects.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Optimize product pages, collections, and website content for organic search.
  • Create keyword-rich product titles and descriptions.
  • Maintain page titles, meta descriptions, image alt tags, and URL structures.
  • Research keywords relevant to foodservice equipment and restaurant supplies.
  • Monitor website performance using Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Identify opportunities to improve search rankings and website traffic.
  • Follow SEO best practices for all new products and website content.

Product Content & Merchandising

  • Collect product information from manufacturers and vendors.
  • Source, organize, and upload product images.
  • Upload specification sheets, manuals, and supporting documents.
  • Create attractive product and category pages.
  • Improve product presentation and online merchandising.
  • Assist with website promotions and featured product campaigns.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience working with Shopify.
  • Strong computer and data management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

  • Shopify Plus experience.
  • SEO experience.
  • Experience managing large product catalogs.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Product image editing experience.
  • Experience with inventory management, ERP, or CounterPoint systems.
  • Experience with eCommerce merchandising and website content management.
