Inside Sales Associate – Cash & Carry Store


About the Role

Superior Equipment & Supply Co. is looking for an energetic, customer-driven Inside Sales Associate to join our growing Cash & Carry showroom team.

This is not a passive retail position — it’s an opportunity for a sales hunter who thrives in-person, loves engaging customers, and takes ownership of growing store sales through proactive communication, relationship-building, and creative selling. You’ll help restaurant owners, caterers, and foodservice professionals find exactly what they need — and discover new products they didn’t know they needed.

You’ll work closely with the marketing, warehouse, and purchasing teams to ensure our customers receive the right products, pricing, and service — every time.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Greet, assist, and engage every customer walking into the showroom with enthusiasm and product knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and recommend complementary items to increase the average sale.
  • Proactively call or email regular customers to share promotions, new arrivals, and clearance opportunities.
  • Develop a personal following of repeat customers and act as their go-to contact for orders and product advice.
  • Assist customers in understanding product specs, applications, and installation basics for kitchen equipment and smallwares.

Business Growth

  • Take initiative to drive new foot traffic and in-store business through outreach, referrals, and community relationships.
  • Build strong relationships with local restaurant owners, bar managers, caterers, and chefs who shop with us.
  • Identify potential business accounts for recurring sales and follow up on quotes to close deals.
  • Partner with management to create monthly sales goals and hit/exceed them consistently.

Store Operations & Merchandising

  • Maintain well-organized, visually appealing displays that align with company branding.
  • Ensure the showroom is clean, stocked, and ready for customers at all times.
  • Work with warehouse and purchasing teams to verify inventory, restock products, and resolve any order discrepancies.
  • Help prepare signage, price tags, and merchandising materials that promote seasonal or promotional items.

Customer Support & Order Management

  • Generate and process quotes, invoices, and payments accurately.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics to schedule deliveries or pickups.
  • Resolve product or service issues quickly and professionally to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed sales activity in the company CRM system.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of inside sales, retail sales, or customer service experience (foodservice or hardware industry preferred).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to learn and explain commercial kitchen equipment and supplies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS or CRM systems.
  • Reliable and able to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays if needed.
